Want to help raise money for Mosquito Nets that save lives? Choose Netting Nations as the recipient of your donation from a birthday or holiday party!
Many parents and their kids are saying "NO" to presents and excessive materialism associated with birthdays and holidays, and "YES" to donations to their favorite non-profit organization. It's important that parents incorporate giving into activities that their child looks forward to, like birthdays and holidays. Parents can teach their child a wonderful lesson on giving, and a new perspective on the world. Kids learn valuable lessons and they feel good for generously said "NO" to presents, and "YES" to helping other children in need.
We want to make sure all children feel appreciated for making contributions and sacrifices to Netting Nations. Children don't get the tax deduction or other tangible benefits of giving that adults often receive, so their reward is based upon our words and actions. We want to let our child donors know that we are proud of them, and much appreciated.
Often, children will go through the motions of volunteering without knowing why they're doing it. Show them the payoff! Almost as important as the giving process is talking about it afterward to explain whom you have benefited, why and how. Teach them about how 30 nets, which cost 5 dollars, saves 1 life, or 30 x 5 = 1.
